Having been affiliated
with WRAW since Feb.98, the first year as a client. I
knew the importance of helping first time participants
feel at ease, and not overwhelmed by all WRAW has to
offer. When the staff asked for my input on how to make
the workbook more user friendly, we formed a client
committee to review the material in the workbook. What
impressed me was that they (the facilitators) asked me
(a client) for my input and then adopted several of the
committees suggestions. The result was a re-organized
workbook and a workshop for new participants on how to
make the best use of the workbook. I now facilitate that
workshop. My goal each week is to help a first-time
participants feel welcome and to show them how to make
the best use of the workbook.
